Mental health in teenagers

interesting article by Fionn Hargreaves regarding mental health in teenage girls. Statistics show that one in ten girls aged 14 – 17 were referred to specialist mental health services in England last year. Figures printed for the first time showed the rising demand and also showed the increase in particular with girls as figures were significantly higher than boys of the same age. A spokes person from Childline shared that in creakingly children who go through to them have struggled to get support for themselves, even when they have declared themselves crisis point. Looking at these figures it is imperative that mental health is tackled quickly with education on schools and a raised vigilance of those around children in this vulnerable bracket.
